Course Description

Psychiatric experts can play a pivotal role in both criminal and civil cases. They not only educate the court on a range of psychiatric issues that are key to understanding the issues in a case, but they also obtain and present evidence that can directly affect the outcome of a case. In this program, forensic psychiatrist Anna Cervantes will cover the key issues attorneys need to understand when working with a psychiatric expert. She will cover the key questions to ask of experts, issues with retainers, materials, evaluations, trial issues, and more.
