The most practical and illuminating training I have every attended on bias! It also gave me a much greater appreciation for process and procedures I had never previously understood.

Excellent course. I never realized that even judges may not be able to control, or even be aware, of their biases and how that might influence their decisions -- even without their realization!
- JOSEPH D.
Overall very insightful - thank you.

Excellent program! Very inspiring in these tough times!
- Nicole Z.
she gave me a lot to think about. i especially liked the brain scan discussion and also that she tried to remove a feeling of guilt for having unconscious bias.
- Carol R.
The presenter was very good, very knowledgeable. Some of the examples she gave made me wince about my own mistakes, but she was persuasive and helpful and not challenging. Made me feel bad for the people who have to put up with stereotyping all the time, though I have been stereotyped a few times myself, so I have some idea about it. I really liked the studies she gave, especially about judges, will look some of them up. Try making some of them hot links. Amazing how difficult it really is to be neutral!
Try to enlarge the time slider on the bottom, sometimes I miss things and try to go back but it is too small to be accurate.

Very well done; learned a lot from this instructor; and, went beyond law and learned something about people and myself.
- Mark W.
The course presenter Ms. Vida Thomas is excellent. She clearly is knowledgeable in all the topics presented and is able to convey the theory and practice to enable the listener to actually understand and recognize the several areas of bias as well as practical methods to address same.
- Thomas B.

- Sharon W.
This was an excellent program. Delivered in a clear manner with sufficient examples to drive home the point being made. I only wish, however, that there was more substantive written materials provided that included some examples from case law (if any needed to make the point). Otherwise, this workshop was great!

Interesting discussion of psychological factors affecting bias. Would like to see same material presented in the context of advising clients to manage discrimination claims, especially before they turn into something formal. This is helpful to understand how to prevent them in the first place, but would help to understand what to do in terms of dealing with problems once they arise.
- Mark H.
This was a thorough, thoughtful and thought provoking presentation. I learned a lot, but more importantly, it made me THINK!
